Western Isles police are seeking a suspect following the assault of a 19-year-old woman in Stornoway town centre.
The young woman was not injured but was shaken by the incident on Point Street, Stornoway, around 2am on Sunday.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Officers are seeking to identify a male in connection with this incident.”
He is described as approximately 5 foot 11 inches in height, with short dark hair and stubble type beard, wearing a black and red checked shirt, with dark jeans.
Police are appealing for people who witnessed the assault or for anyone who has information that could assist enquiries to call 101.
