A man has died following a four-vehicle crash on the A87 on Skye.
The 54-year-old man was the driver of a white Ford van involved in the collision which occurred shortly before 9am, approximately a mile north of Sligachan.
Another man from the same vehicle has been airlifted to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Glasgow for treatment to serious injuries.
Also involved in the incident were a white Audi Q7, a blue Mercedes C-class and a silver Vauxhall van.
The road currently remains closed with a diversion place from Sligachan to Dunvegan on A863 and then on the A850 via Edinbane to Portree.
Road Policing Sergeant Ewan Calder said: “Our thoughts at this time are very much with the family and friends of the victim of this collision.
“I would also extend our thanks to the public for their patience while the road has been closed.
“Our inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and I would ask anyone with information who has not yet spoken to an officer gets in touch as soon as possible.”
