Fire crews are again attending the Gramps today for the third time in response to yet another gorse fire on the hillside.
Firefighters were called out at around 8.30am, 1pm and at 4pm to tackle small gorse fires on the outskirts of Aberdeen.
The hill in the Torry area of the city has been plagued with fires for almost three weeks.
Firefighters have been called to the area more than 30 times since September 7 to tackle grass and gorse fires.
A spokeswoman for the fire service confirmed they had returned to the area and said: “We have had one unit on site since getting the call at 4pm and two more on their way along with the forestry unit.”
On Tuesday, Ryan Smith was remanded in custody after appearing at Aberdeen Sheriff Court.
The 18-year-old was charged with four counts of wilful fireraising and made no plea.
Inspector Chris Kerr of the Torry community policing team urged anyone with information to get in touch and said: “We are very grateful for the information that we have received from members of the public so far.
“I would urge anyone who has encountered any suspicious activity in the area to contact us on 101.”
