Coastguard helicopter Rescue 948 was twice called into action earlier today as casualties at two separate incidents required evacuation and transfer onwards to the Western Isles Hospital.
The search and rescue helicopter was joined by coast rescue teams from Stornoway, Miavaig and Breasclete after reports of a missing female and two dogs were received at 5.15pm.
The casualty was located at Scaliscro in Uig at 6.30pm before being transferred on to the Western Isles Hospital.
In a separate incident Rescue, 948 was again called into action, with Miavaig and Breasclete coast rescue teams joining after reports of two surfers being stuck on rocks at Mangersta were received.

A search of around 15 minutes took place before the missing surfers were located by the coast rescue teams and then subsequently transferred on to the Western Isles Hospital via the Coastguard search and rescue helicopter.
