A technical issue on a Cal Mac ferry has caused disruption to travelling passengers this afternoon, as one service faces delays with another completely cancelled.
The 3pm sailing from Stornoway to Ullapool on the passenger vessel MV Loch Seaforth was cancelled due to a fault with the bow doors on the ferry.
As a result, the 4.25pm sailing from Tarbert to Uig was delayed by around 55 minutes to allow travelling passengers to divert from Stornoway to the terminal on the Isle of Harris.
The 6.30pm sailing of MV Loch Seaforth from Ullapool to Stornoway has also experienced disruption as work is carried out on the vessel to rectify the issue.
AMBER #Ullapool #Stornoway 14/10 Due to a vessel technical issue, the 18:30 sailing from Ullapool has a high possibility of disruption or cancellation at short notice.
