All ferries between Ullapool and Stornoway have been cancelled today as adverse weather takes its toll on transport links to and from the Western Isles.
Cal Mac have issued a red warning on the route which is served by the ferry operators flagship vessel, MV Loch Seaforth.
RED #Ullapool#Stornoway 16/10 Due to adverse weather with gale force winds, sailings have been cancelled for today. The freight service is expected to operate as normal.
The route linking Mallaig and Lochboisdale, and the Oban – Colonsay – Port Askaig – Kennacraig sailing have also been cancelled due to weather conditions.
Other routes are liable to disruption or cancellation at short notice. Passengers seeking to travel by ferry are advised to check with the operator to ensure their scheduled sailings will operate as timetabled.
