A Coastguard spokesman confirmed both incidents were reported to the Operations Centre in Shetland shortly before 9am.
Rescue 900 was called into action, attending the North Alwyn Platform first before the crew conducted an assessment and deemed it safe to carry on to Thistle Alpha platform.
Both casualties were transferred to the Clickimin landing site on Shetland around 11.45am before being taken on to the Gilbert Bain Hospital in Lerwick.
