Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious crash on the Western Isles.
The incident, involving a black Yamaha XT660X motorbike, happened some time before 7.40am on Sunday on Mossend Road in Stornoway.
The 37-year-old male motorcyclist was taken to Western Isles Hospital before being transferred to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Glasgow for treatment.
His injuries are serious but are not thought to be life-threatening.
Road policing officer Constable David Miller said: “We are working to establish the full circumstances of this collision and would urge anyone who has information to come forward.
“We are particularly keen to speak to anyone who believes they may have seen the motorcycle on the roads before the collision.
“In particular we would ask anyone who was on the roads in the early hours of Sunday morning to think back and if you have dashcam please review and report anything of note to us.”
