A 19-year-old man and 58-year-old woman have appeared in court on drugs charges after police seized £71,000 worth of speed from a house in Aberdeen.
Officers confiscated a stash of the Class B drug from a property on Seaton Drive last week after receiving a tip-off and performing a raid.
Jordan Higgins, 19, and 58-year-old Lorraine Ironside appeared in the dock at Aberdeen Sheriff Court yesterday.
The pair, both of Aberdeen, were both charged with possession of a controlled drug, with the intent to sell.
Neither entered any plea and both were granted bail until their next appearance in court, the date of which is not yet known.
Detective Sergeant Willie Murdoch said: “I would like to thank the local community for their patience while inquiries have been carried out.
“We are committed to tackling drug use and we carry out activity on a daily basis to remove even more substances from our communities.
“We rely on the public to do this and I continue to ask anyone with concerns about drug misuse to contactus on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 if they would prefer to remain anonymous.”
