A Moray tennis club is looking for new members to join in and get active during the warmer months.
Forres Tennis Club is keen to try and get the local community active and get them down to the courts.
They were lucky to receive funding from the Lawn Tennis Association last year to help install an electronic gate system at their site.
The new “pay as you play” facility allows the club to be accessible to everyone.
Caroline Derbyshire-Laing, chairwoman of Forres Tennis Club, hopes to attract as many new people to the club as possible.
She said: “As spring approaches we are keen to try and get the club back on the map and encourage folk to come along and use the courts.
“After receiving funds from Tesco bags for Life, FTC are able to offer 4 week blocks of free adult beginner lessons starting 2 March.
“Our aim is to get the community fit and healthy.
“Playing tennis regularly can also help children develop positive personality characteristics which are fundamental both on and off the court.
“Children can learn a great level of discipline; from how to accept responsibility and deal with stress, to work ethic and problem solving of which are all attributes that contribute to building confidence in everyday life.”
