Hi-visibility patrols are to be carried out over the weekend in Kincorth and Cove following anti-social behaviour concerns.
Officers from the Nigg Community Policing Team will lead the initiative after worries were raised by local residents and businesses.
Nigg Sergeant John McOuat, said: “School holidays can see an increase in antisocial behaviour and reported vandalisms in local communities which causes concern and annoyance to local residents.
“Whilst the vast majority of youngsters are a credit to themselves and the area they live in, the actions of the few can spoil it for others.
“My officers will be out on patrols in the Kincorth and Cove areas over the weekend and they’ll be looking to engage positively with young people and deter them from becoming involved in disorderly behaviour.
“However, anyone found to be engaging in antisocial behaviour or other criminality can expect to be dealt with appropriately by my officers and have their parents/guardians notified if appropriate.
“It is my hope our youngsters enjoy their well-earned time off in a responsible way.”
