A popular Moray classic car show is returning to its original home after two years away.
Organisers of the Buckie Classic Car Show were forced to move away from Linzee Gordon Park following concerns that heavy rain had made the location unusable.
Moray Council ruled they must find a new place for the more than 200 vintage vehicles that take part in the annual display.
For the past two years, they have been based at the town’s March Road industrial estate instead.
But now they have been given the green-light to return to Linzee Gordon Park this year.
Chairman John Clark said he was excited to head back to the “spiritual” home of the show, especially with the extra room for more cars to take part.
He said: “We are chuffed that Moray Council is letting us back into the park as it means more cars, more stalls and a safer place than ever before as won’t have the same problems with the parking.
“The event brings lots of people to Moray for the weekend. Last year we had the Lancashire Capri Club travel up and spent Friday to Monday here.
“We want to commend Moray Council for letting us back into the park and we want to get in there during the year to keep it tidy as due to budget cuts it is not scheduled to have it grass cut this year.”
Last year, the event raised just under £3,000 for local charities.
However, due to capacity problems at March Road, organisers were forced to turn away classic car entrants as they reached 300.
Linzee Gordon Park can hold 450 cars, so Mr Clark is hoping for the biggest show yet.
He said: “Last year we had to turn away about 60 cars which we hated doing but now we can introduce more.
“We opened entries on March 30 and have already had 145 entries in so far, so we expect to get much more.
“It’s a big year for vehicles as we are celebrating the 60th birthday of the Mini, plus the 30 year anniversary of the Rover 200.”
The show takes place on Sunday, August 25. To find out more, visit buckieclassiccarshow.co.uk
