Flights in and out of the airfield were suspended and emergency services attended this afternoon. Police said the main A866 road running past the airport between Parkend and Branahuie was closed while multi-agencies dealt with the incident. The alarm was raised around 4.15pm. A Police Scotland spokesman said: “The aircraft reported having engine problems. “The helicopter later landed safely.”
