A main road in Aberdeen city centre was closed for five hours overnight after a police were called to aid a person who was behaving in a threatening manner.
Police Scotland said that King Street had been closed overnight after a person was threatening to commit suicide in the area.
Officers were called to the scene shortly after 3.30am, and closed the road between St Clair Street and Urquhart Road.
A police spokesman said: “The road was closed to allow officers to work with a person with mental health issues who was threatening to commit suicide.”
The road was reopened shortly after 8.30am.
On the Police Scotland North East Police Division social media, a spokesman said: “Police Scotland would like to advise members of the public that King Street, between St Clair Street and Urquhart Road, is now open.”
