A 42-year-old man was this morning airlifted from an offshore supply vessel after experiencing cardiac difficulties.
The vessel, which was located approximately 90 miles east of Sumburgh, contacted the Coastguard Operations Centre in Shetland at 2.48am, with search and rescue helicopter Rescue 900 from Sumburgh sent to assist.
The man was airlifted from the vessel and taken to the Clickimin emergency landing site, before being handed into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service.
It is understood he was taken from the landing site to the Gilbert Bain Hospital.
