There were three evacuations from North Sea oil rigs over the weekend for Coastguard crews using their Rescue 900 helicopter.
The first medical evacuation was from an oil platform some 27 nautical miles south east of Sumburgh, to transport a sick crewman back to shore.
An emergency call was was made at 9.20pm on Friday, and the crewman was brought to the Clickimin emergency helipad shortly after midnight.
A second call came in at 11.30pm and resulted in the Rescue 900 copter being deployed again, this time to an injured crewman on a platform 75 nautical miles south east of Sumburgh.
The Coastguard brought the injured party into Sumburgh and the patient was transferred to the Gilbert Bain hospital.
A third call was made at noon on Sunday – relating to a medical evacuation from a platform 106 nautical miles away from Sumburgh.
The crewman was brought into the Clikimin helipad, before being transferred to hospital shortly before 3pm.
