A main route through Aberdeen city centre is to be partially closed next week to allow for repairs to the road.
The inside lanes of both northbound and southbound West North Street from Mounthooly roundabout to Morrison’s petrol station will be affected. The outer lanes will remain open.
An Aberdeen City Council spokeswoman said the road was built over an old line of houses and there has been “historical subsidence due to settlement”.
The city council will temporarily infill the areas of subsidence, and is planning to undertake major reconstruction works next year.
The inside lanes of West North Street will be closed from 6am on Monday, September 23 until 11.59pm on Friday, September 27.
Motorists are advised to use an alternative route.
