Battle to run east coast railway on track

The battle to run east coast intercity train services between Scotland and London from February 2015 has begun.

Channel Tunnel train firm Eurostar and France’s Keolis signalled their intention yesterday to jointly bid for the franchise.

Keolis is one of Europe’s leading transport operators. It will be the lead partner in the bidding consortium, with Eurostar having a minority share.
