Graham Paterson, 60, fell while walking in the Glenbrittle area of the island in December 2012. A major search operation was launched in the Cuillins, involving mountain rescue teams from Skye and Kintail, an RAF helicopter and search dogs. But Mr Paterson’s body was not found for three days. The hunt was carried out in severe weather conditions, including freezing temperatures. The operation was also hampered by gale force winds. Mr Paterson, an experienced climber, ran guide service Skye Hi at Carbost with his wife. His body was found by a mountain rescue team in the Cuillins on Saturday, December 29. The inquiry into Mr Paterson’s death will be held at Portree Sheriff Court on August 5.
