A north teenager has appeared in court accused of attempting to murder a man in a knife attack at the weekend.
Police were called to an address on Hill Street in Dingwall on Saturday following reports that a 36-year-old man had been seriously injured.
He was taken by ambulance to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness where he remains for treatment. Medical staff have described his condition as stable.
Campbell Brett appeared in private at Inverness Sheriff Court yesterday where he faced a charge of attempted murder with a knife.
He made no plea, and was committed for further examination and remanded in custody.
Meanwhile, Ullapool 18-year-old Dylan Thorpe made no plea in relation to assault charges after two men were seriously injured in a disturbance in the town’s Mill Street on Saturday.
