This is the car police believe was used by a masked gang which carried out a string of brazen cash-machine raids.
Detectives probing four heists in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire have revealed that the dark Audi saloon was seen in the vicinity of all but one of the incidents.
Three banks and a grocery store were targeted during the gang’s five-day spree and thousands of pounds was stolen.
Police have declined to say whether explosives were used to blow open the cash machines.
But witnesses reported hearing loud bangs around the time of the ATM raids at Inverurie, Oldmeldrum, New Deer and on the North Deeside road in the Bieldside area of Aberdeen.
Officers have reviewed hundreds of hours of CCTV footage.
Detectives declined to say last night whether the Audi had been stolen locally or had been fitted with a fake number plate.
Detective Sergeant David Howieson said: “We are keen to identify the occupants of a dark-coloured Audi saloon which was seen in the vicinity of incidents in Inverurie, Oldmeldrum and Bieldside where ATM machines were targeted.
“I would urge members of the public to view the images we have released and to contact police if they can identify the vehicle or if they have seen a similar vehicle in suspicious circumstances, particularly in the vicinity of ATM machines.”
The gang struck initially on Sunday, September 15, at the Halifax Bank of Scotland branch in Burn Lane, Inverurie.
The following day, they targeted the Clydesdale Bank in Market Square, Oldmeldrum.
On September 18, about 4am, the ATM at the RBS bank in the Buchan village of New Deer was raided.
And about 24 hours later, the cash machine at the Scotmid store in the smart Aberdeen suburb of Bieldside was targeted.
Police have not disclosed how much money was taken during the raids.
Earlier in the investigation, detectives said the thieves may have travelled to the north-east from another part of the country and stayed in hotels or guest houses in the area.
An armed robber is still at large after stealing a five-figure sum in a security van heist outside Makro at Altens, Aberdeen, five weeks ago.
