Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes is confident attacker Niall McGinn will deliver for the club – regardless of what position he plays.
The Northern Ireland international forward scored 21 goals last season, but has managed just three so far this term.
McGinn led the line for the Dons in his first campaign at Pittodrie, but has largely featured behind a lone forward or out wide for his club this season.
He showed his importance to the side by setting up Calvin Zola for the only goal as Aberdeen beat Dundee United last weekend.
McInnes is not concerned the goals have yet to flow for McGinn.
He said: “I’ve got no concerns about Niall, he has had opportunities in every game he has played whether he has played up front, wide or in behind.
“Niall will score goals and get himself in front of goal from anywhere in a front three.
“A lot was made about the move in the build-up to the goal on Saturday, but Niall’s cross was the key moment.
“It shows the quality he has on the left side which we were so dependent on last season and will be again this year.”
