Image: DC Thomson. Firefighters are tackling a fire at a disused fish factory in the Western Isles. Three crews have been sent to the scene at Loch Carnan after the blaze was reported by a member of the public at 2.41pm. Police said that they have cordoned off the area to allow firefighters from Benbecula, Lochmaddy and Lochboisdale to attend. It is understood that the building was formerly operated by Marine Harvest.
