The accident happened on the A87 Broadford-Portree road three miles south of Sconser at 4.20pm. Initial reports are that the two cars contained a total of four people. Police said that three are injured. One person is also trapped in the wreckage. Local fire crews and paramedics are travelling to the scene. The main road is closed and diversions have been provided via nearby Moll.
