Punters in the north and north-east are confident of a Yes vote in next month’s referendum.
According to bookies William Hill, 87% of bets placed on the referendum in Aberdeen have been for a Yes vote with 13% for No.
Confidence in Inverness is nearly as high with 85% backing independence and 15% the Union.
Across Scotland, 79% of all bets are for independence and 21% against.
In London, 75% of bets have been for a No vote, including a £600,000 wager (comprising one £400,000 wager at 1/4 odds and another for £200,000 at 1/6).
Belfast and Cardiff are siding with Scotland with Yes bets at 75% and 83% respectively.
William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly said: “If the Scottish punters turn out to the voting booths as they have done to the betting shops, then we could well see a Yes when the referendum takes place in September.”
