The body of 33-year-old Michael Ritch was recovered on Thursday, August 7 at Copinsay by Kirkwall Lifeboat. Mr Ritch had been reported missing by his family on July 24, prompting a search by police and coastguard teams. His red Skoda Fabia was found abandoned in Yesnaby on July 25 but the search was stood down soon afterwards.
