A service of dedication will be held at Sumburgh Airport to mark the anniversary of last year’s North Sea helicopter crash off the coast of Shetland.
Four passengers were killed in the Super Puma crash on August 23.
A short service will be held on Saturday at the airport memorial site, attended by members of the emergencyservices and airport workers.
A wreath will be also placed in the sea by airport fire service staff from their fast rescue boat.
Local search and rescue helicopters will carry out a flypast as the wreath is laid.
The memorial is dedicated to those who have lost their lives in aircraft accidents in Shetland over the past three decades.
Members of the local community are also invited to attend the service, which will take place at 4.45pm.
Memorial committee chairman Nigel Flaws said: “As we approach the anniversary of the helicopter crash, we are extending an invitation to members of the local community who may wish to join us in paying their respects to those who lost their lives in this incident.”
The memorial site is positioned to the east of the main terminal building at Sumburgh and is accessible from the car park, along the eastern shoreline.
