With experts warning that the UK needs to double the number of recruits embarking on a career in engineering by 2020, failure to do so could have implications on the future of the sector.
According to latest statistics, there is an immediate demand for around 69,000 qualified apprentices within the engineering sector, with only 27,000 currently qualified at the appropriate level.
