Map shows Twitter’s response to the referendum

It has been the topic on everybody’s lips today, and as the counting of votes begins, this map shows how people are talking about the Scottish independence referendum on Twitter.

The image, created by Trendsmap, shows where support for the two campaigns peaked throughout the day, with large swathes of Scotland bathed in blue for Yes and pockets of red for No sprinkled across much of England and even across the channel.
