Clackmannanshire first to come out with No vote

The first result has come back as a No to Scottish independence.

Clackmannanshire was the first of the 32 local authorities to declare its result, with 53.8% of voters saying No.

There were a total of 35,410 votes cast in the area, with 19,036 people voting No and 16,350 saying Yes.

Turnout was 88.6%.

Orkney is due to announce in the coming minutes.
