A road policing unit from Dingwall with specialist investigating equipment is heading by ferry to the area to assess what happened. Police described it as a serious road traffic collision on the A865 at Ford Terrace, Creagorry. It is understood a young woman pedestrian was involved. The road is currently closed in both directions and diversions are in place via the B891 Haclait Road. The road is expected to be closed for most of today while investigations take place. So far the police have not revealed what vehicle was involved in the collision, which happened on Thursday evening.
