Aberdeen motorists were hit with severe delays this morning as stormy weather announced autumn’s arrival.
Tailbacks in Altens stretched along Wellington Road all the way back to the A90 at around 8am – with commuters taking hours to get into work.
The roads between Aberdeen and Ellon were also affected with commuters in gridlock for most of the morning.
So what caused the sudden build-up in traffic?
Bad weather it would seem… People opting for their cars instead of braving the wind and rain by walking or taking public transport to work combined with poor road conditions makes for a potent mixture of delays and frustration.
Things probably aren’t going to get much better anytime soon either as we enter autumn; roll-on next summer!
