John Tough, 75, who suffers from dementia, failed to return to his holiday home after going for a walk with his dog on Thursday. He spent the night outdoors after rescue teams were unable to trace him. Mr Tough was spotted by a coastguard search and rescue helicopter earlier this afternoon, more than 24 hours after being reported missing. The man, from Cumbernauld, was visiting Portree with his family. It is understood that he has now been taken to Broadford Hospital for treatment.
