Scotland’s wimpiest dog is on the hunt for a new home.
Bonnie – a cross breed who is scared of door bells, ringing phones and and the dark to name just a few of her fears – currently resides at the Dog’s Trust Rehoming Centre in Glasgow where her carers have named her her “Scotland’s most scared dog”.
However, after four years at the residence, she is now looking for a new home.
Bonnie suffers from such severe anxiety that when it comes to walkies, she can only go out during the hours of daylight as she is terrified of the dark and has to have night-light left on when she goes to sleep while she also hates being left alone and needs constant reassurance from her carers.
Her nervous nature is so severe she has to wear a special coat when she gets scared, which places gentle, constant pressure on her torso to calm her down.
Trust Glasgow supporter relations officer Emma Louise Livingston said: “Dogs Trust Glasgow training and behaviour advisers do all they can to reassure Bonnie and help her to conquer her fears but what she really needs is her new best friend to help her settle into a new routine in a loving new home.
“What this gentle girl lacks in courage she more than makes up for in affection as she absolutely adores her carers and is happy to be fussed all day long.”
