Genoveva Nunez-Figueroa was rescued after firefighters in chiselled away much of the chimney while using washing-up liquid to lubricate it. The 30-year-old was not injured in the incident. It is believed she met the owner of the home, Lawrence, online. Lawrence, who did not want to reveal his last name said: “I’m going to be a little more cautious of who I invite into my house now.” Ventura County fire Captain Ron Oatman said firefighters destroyed the chimney and damaged the roof during Sunday’s incident. The woman’s family have offered to pay for the damage, CBS reports.
