A ten-year-old schoolgirl racked up a phone bill of £1,800 – simply by watching videos teaching her how to make loom bands.
Trinity Groves watched the videos which helped her create the bands which she then swapped at school, however, neither Trinity nor her father, Philip Groves, 35, realised that her house’s Wi-Fi wasn’t working during that period, resulting in the quite frightening bill.
Trinity was innocently using Vodafone’s premium rates for internet access on her phone but after seeing the bill she said: “Since I found out watching Youtube videos cost my dad £1,792, I stopped watching them and just made simple ones.”
