Good morning P&J readers. Today’s weather isn’t looking too pleasant and so many travel routes are likely to be disrupted.
Moray and much of the Highlands have been issued an amber flood alert with Lochaber and the Great Glen expected to be the worst hit.
Several west coast ferries have been cancelled or delayed due to high winds.
Train services between travelling to and from Aberdeen are likely to be unsettled due to ‘poor rail conditions’.
Skye Bridge is open, but subject to a 40mph speed limit.
Parts of the A82 have suffered landslips – the road between Druimmarbin and Onic is closed in both directions and the road by Letterfindlay is partially blocked.
And some non-weather related thing to look out for:
The usual busy-ness will kick off in Aberdeen just before 8am at Holburn Street, Haudagain and the Beach Boulevard – Riverside Drive is still closed.
In Aberdeenshire, Shore Street in Macduff is shut due to an earlier fire at the old Highland Haven hotel and one lane of the A90 near Portlethen is closed for roadworks.
Watch out for traffic lights and night closures on the A82 at Pulpit Rock until November.
