The A82 between Druimmarbin and Onich now has traffic lights in place — major delays are expected.
In the north-east, Greenburn Drive in Bucksburn is shut because of flooding at the A96 junction.

The usual busy-ness will kick off in Aberdeen just before 8am at Holburn Street, Haudagain and the Beach Boulevard – Riverside Drive is still closed.
In Aberdeenshire, Shore Street in Macduff is shut due to an earlier fire at the old Highland Haven hotel and one lane of the A90 near Portlethen is closed for roadworks.
And watch out for traffic lights and night closures on the A82 at Pulpit Rock until November.
