A spokesman for Stornoway Coastguard said they received the call to the incident at Butt of Lewis Lighthouse, near Ness on Lewis, at about 12.20pm. He said: “Due to the location being on the coast and on uneven ground, the Ness Coastguard Rescue Team assisted with getting her into an ambulance.” The casualty was then taken to the Western Isles Hospital in Stornoway.
