Every parent wants to make their daughter’s wedding as special as they possibly can but John Butcher went above and beyond his father of the bride duties – taking hundreds of hours of singing lessons so he could serenade his daughter on her big day.
The 50-year-old father, who admits he could not hold a tune at the start of the year, spent almost 200 hours perfecting his vocal chords for the wedding to allow him to turn from father of the bride to Elvis Pressley impersonator.
John’s son Chris was the only person who knew of his father’s plans but the elaborate stunt went perfectly to plan as John belted out ‘Always On My Mind’ much to the delight of family and friends and most importantly the bride and groom, Natalie and Ian Wright.
