Traffic delays after Inverness rush hour crash

There were traffic delays in Inverness this morning after a car smashed into a central reservation in the city centre

The vehicle, thought to be a BMW, crashed on the east bound dual carriageway between Friars Bridge and Rose Street roundabout.

Emergency services were called to the scene at 8.05am.

One fire crew used cutting equipment to remove the car from the barrier.

Two lanes were closed while a recovery vehicle came to remove the car

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “We received a call just after 8am.”

“No one was injured and the road is now clear.”
