Five people rescued by island lifeboat after propeller problem

A fishing boat with five people on board was rescued by Barra Lifeboat last night after its propeller became fouled off the Outer Hebrides.

The Louisa broke down four miles south west of Barra Head and the lifeboat was launched at 7.48pm.

It towed the stricken craft to Castlebay on Barra, arriving just before midnight.
