Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes insists the next few weeks will not be season-defining.
The Dons have won seven of their last nine matches but, with games coming up against their nearest rivals in the race to finish best of the rest, McInnes is determined not to let the hype affect his players.
Aberdeen travel to second-placed Inverness on Saturday and also have matches against Motherwell and Dundee United looming.
McInnes said: “The next month is important for the club. We’ve done well against the teams around us. We’ve beaten Inverness, Motherwell and Dundee United, which makes these matches important.
“People talk about big periods in a season but every game matters. They are important games but I don’t believe they matter more than the ones we’ve played before or will play after.
“We’ve got a busy schedule coming and we are going to need the full squad available. We were fortunate to be able to freshen the team on Saturday and the players got the job done in difficult conditions.
“Having that freshness available during the next two weeks will help us.”
Aberdeen’s 2-0 win against St Mirren on Saturday was their third clean sheet in a row and 12th in 16 matches.
McInnes is delighted for goalkeeper Jamie Langfield and his defence but insists the excellent record is one which should be shared.
He said: “Jamie had one save to make and it could have been a far more uncomfortable last 10 minutes if he hadn’t been alert to the danger on Saturday. The stats speak for themselves as far as Jamie is concerned but it’s not just down to him. The back four have to take credit The players have enjoyed playing in front of a decent crowd at home and the backing has helped us.
“We can’t always be free-flowing but we can always be hard working and difficult to beat. The big factor in the last three wins has been our determination and our aggression.”
