New father David Raven hopes Caley Thistle have stopped the rot after their 1-1 draw with Dundee United in Inverness yesterday.
A pulsating, incident-packed game ended level after Nick Ross had his penalty saved by United goalkeeper Radoslaw Cierzniak. The Arabs hit the woodwork twice after Keith Watson had cancelled out Billy McKay’s 18th goal of the campaign.
Former Tranmere Rovers full back Raven, however, was pleased with the result and hopes it can be a season-changing one for the club.
He said: “It is a good point for us as we scrapped for it and rode our luck at times. It was a good result in the end. They are a strong team but we took the game to them and could have won it when we got the penalty in the second half.
“We’re pleased with the point as it stopped the rot for us and sets up nicely for the weekend at Aberdeen. Nick will be fine after missing his penalty as it happens to everyone.”
Raven, who became a father in the early hours of Saturday, made his first start in almost two months and he was relieved to come through what he called “a crazy couple of days”.
