Slovak midfielder Filip Kiss has netted four goals in two games since moving to Ross County but believes he has yet to hit his best form for the Staggies.
Few players make such an immediate impact at a new club and, along with Richard Brittain and Melvin de Leeuw, Kiss is already County’s joint leading scorer.
Kiss, 23, struck twice as County defeated Dundee United on Saturday, his second a 30-yard shot into the top corner which is a goal of the season candidate. He also scored a double on his debut in County’s previous game.
The former Slovakian under-21 international reckons he still has more to give for the Dingwall club, starting against relegation-threatened Hearts at home on Saturday.
He said: “It is only two games, and I know I have scored four goals, but there is more to come. I was very hungry to play and I wanted to prove to myself that I can play at a high level. I am very happy we did well against Dundee United. We can still improve and be a strong team this season.
“A few new players have come into the club and we will get better and better and go higher in the table.
“All the players who have come in have shown they have good quality.
“They have all improved the squad. We showed good signs against Partick Thistle and we will show even more soon.”
Kiss will find it hard to better his sublime second goal against the Tannadice club. He added: “It was the best goal I have scored because of the distance and the quality of the shot.
“It was the best goal of my life but, hopefully, it is not the last one and I can score even better goals.
“Even when I was not playing at Cardiff last year I continued to work hard in training every day.
“I learned a lot from players such as Chile international Gary Medel and (former England under-21 midfielder) Jordon Mutch there this year. I hope I can prove I am good enough to play with these players.”
