Jude Law has asked Aberdeen to “forgive” him after he was ridiculed for his attempt at mastering the local accent in his latest film.
The English actor was a guest on The Graham Norton Show on Friday night when he offered his apologies for his attempts in new thriller Black Sea.
The Hollywood Superstar said: “Kevin McDonald, the director, is Scottish and I thought therefore I was in safe hands and so… Commander Robinson is from Aberdeen.
“Forgive me everyone from Aberdeen.”
The film, released earlier this month, has received mostly positive reviews, but Law’s accent, on the other hand, has not.
The Scottish accent, in particular, has proved a difficult one to translate to the silver screen.
