A leading offshore safety training firm has formed a strategic alliance with premier well intervention and pressure control firm to deliver well control services and training globally.
Falck Safety Services (Falck), which has 32 training centres across the world, and Boots & Coots, a Halliburton Service, will work together offering their complementary services to the well control market.
Falck, which has two UK training centres in Aberdeen and Teesside, will provide the training portion and Boots & Coots will deliver its full suite of well control services. The alliance will allow both firms to jointly develop, market, sell, and deliver their well control services and training to the oil and gas industry.
Boots & Coots, which joined forces with Halliburton in 2010, has superior capabilities in well control and prevention services with proven technology, global experience and highly skilled personnel, providing a wide variety of pressure control, well intervention and pipeline services to oil and gas exploration and development companies around the world.
Managing director of Falck, Colin Leyden, said: “The oil and gas industry is raising the bar for well control training, and Falck, along with Boots & Coots is determined to make our services the best the market has to offer, meeting customer standards whether domestically or internationally. Falck already has a strong global presence and extensive high quality training capabilities, which allows us to create a cohesive partnership with Boots & Coots due to their high level of technical know-how and well control expertise.”
