Woman taken to hospital after A87 accident

A woman has been taken to hospital after a car accident on the Isle of Skye.

Two cars were involved in a collision on the A87 Kyle-Portree stretch of the road, close to Broadford at around 10.14am.

It is understood that the female casualty was taken to Boradford Hospital by ambulance as a precaution.

A police spokesman said her injuries are “believed to be minor”.

Both cars ended up off the road in the incident and there was no delay to other traffic.
