After the black out it was Caley Thistle who sparkled to win the Highland derby 3-0 at Victoria Park last night.
The Inverness supporters were beaming in the long-awaited second instalment of the north rivalry after the first match was called off when the power went out at Dingwall last October.
David Raven, Aaron Doran and Marley Watkins were all on target as the away side prevailed under the lights.
The clubs entered the derby in good form, County defeating St Mirren and Caley Thistle winning on the road at St Johnstone but it was Inverness who finished deserved winners.
Staggies manager Derek Adams gave Alex Cooper a start with Graham Carey on the bench. Inverness manager John Hughes made only one alteration, with James Vincent adding an extra option as Watkins dropped out.
Caley Jags stunned the home crowd by going ahead after just seven minutes in a whirlwind opening.
Raven slid in as Evangelos Oikonomou failed to clear a Doran cross to roll the ball beyond Mark Brown. Inverness claimed a second on 40 minutes.
Graeme Shinnie won the ball from Jordan Slew and provided the perfect cross for McKay to smack past Brown with an instinctive shot.
Replacement Watkins slid home a third with a low shot.
County fell to 10th in the table on goal difference after losing to their rivals.
