Shocked KFC customer discovers feather in her meal

A KFC customer got more chicken than she bargained for on a recent trip to KFC – when she discovered a feather in her BBQ chicken meal.

Fiona Balloch bought her £4.99 Zinger box meal at the KFC restaurant in Ayr but before digging into her meal she noticed the extra bit of bird that she had not ordered.

The offending piece of meat, was deep fried and packaged by staff but they failed to notice the complete feather, leaving Fiona in a state of shock when she found it in her meal.

A KFC spokeswoman said: “We have a number of processes in place to prevent this from happening. We’re sorry that on this rare occasion we failed to meet our usual high standards.”
